What does the free website check look at?
The 10 things customers look for before they ring: works on phones, a tap-to-call button, a quote or contact form, services explained, photos of real jobs, reviews, an about section, your licence, ABN or insurance, the suburbs you cover, and whether it’s secure and up to date. It reads your home page’s code, so a few items (phones, photos and reviews) are our best read rather than a guarantee. It’s free, and you don’t need to leave your email to see your score. What’s the Search Improvement Guarantee?
Every month we send you a short report straight from Google that shows how many times your website appeared in Google searches. If your site appears in more searches in your third month than in your first, it’s working. If it doesn’t, your next 3 months of Hosting & Management are free, and we’ll keep working on it. We can’t promise you a spot at the top of Google (nobody honestly can), but we can promise you’ll be seen more, or you don’t pay for it. Full terms.
Is it really free until I pay?
Yes. I build your preview at my own cost. If it's not for you, you owe nothing and I take it down.
Who can see my preview?
Only people with your private link. Previews are hidden from Google, and I never show your site to anyone else unless you've bought it and said I can.
Are the example websites real businesses?
No. They're made-up businesses I built to show what's possible, and each one is clearly marked as an example. Your site will use your real photos, reviews and details.
What do I need to send you?
Your current website or Facebook or Instagram page, your Google reviews link, your logo if you have one (no logo? I can design one), and any job photos you're proud of. If you're flat out, I'll work from what's already online.
I don't have a logo. Can you design one?
Yes. Tick "Add a logo" on the job sheet and I'll send ten original logo ideas with your website preview. Pick one, ask for tweaks, and it's $149 once you love it. You get every file you need for the ute, shirts, signs and socials, and it's yours outright. Just need a logo without a website? Email me, same deal.
My site's on GoDaddy or Wix. Is that a problem?
Not at all. That's where a lot of small business websites live. I rebuild it properly, and with Hosting & Management ($39 a month, setup free) I host it and point your web address at it, so you can usually cancel the builder plan.
Will my email stop working if we move my website?
Not if it's done properly. When I put your site live, I copy your email settings across before anything changes and check them with you.
Do you do SEO? Will I show up on Google?
Yes, SEO is included in Hosting & Management. We set your site up the way Google likes (clear page titles, your services and suburbs, your business details in Google's format, fast on phones), hand it to Google through Search Console, check it every month, and keep it fresh with your new photos and reviews, which is exactly the kind of activity Google looks for.
