Eight honest yes-or-no questions. Every yes earns a tally mark. Five marks and you're doing better than most businesses we meet.
Answer the questions to see where you land.
Pick a package or just the bit you need. Every package has a fixed monthly fee, so there are no surprise bills for "a quick question".
Bank feeds reconciled every week, bills and invoices entered, and a one-page "how are we going" report each month.
Already keep your own books? We check them, fix the GST codes and lodge your BAS as your registered BAS agent.
Behind on BAS? Shoebox of receipts? We sort months (or years) of mess and talk to the ATO for you.
From spreadsheets, MYOB or QuickBooks. Chart of accounts, bank feeds, invoice templates and a one-hour training session.
Pay runs, Single Touch Payroll, leave and super paid every payday, the way the new rules want it.
Dan, our registered tax agent, does your return straight from books we already know, so there's no year-end scramble.
Book a free 20-minute chat. Bring your Xero login (or your shoebox) and we'll tell you honestly what you need and what you don't.
"From" prices are Tally's own packages, GST inclusive, and depend on how many transactions you have.

Invite us into Xero (or we'll set it up). Forward your bank statements and snap receipts from your phone.
Every transaction reconciled and coded, GST fixed, and anything owing to the ATO sorted into a plan.
Weekly reconciling, BAS lodged on time, and a plain-English report so you know what's left over for you.
Standard ATO due dates if you lodge yourself. Lodging through a registered agent like Tally can give you more time, so ask us.
For the July – September quarter.
Standard ATO dates. Check ato.gov.au due dates by month. If a date falls on a weekend or public holiday, you can lodge and pay on the next business day.
Tick off what you've got, then send the list to Dan. He'll tell you if anything's missing before you come in, so it's one meeting, not three.
Every link goes straight to the right page on ato.gov.au, asic.gov.au, business.gov.au or another government site, and opens in a new tab.
No links match that. Try "GST" or "super", or just text Kiri.
Two years of BAS I'd been avoiding, sorted in under a fortnight. Kiri never once made me feel stupid about it.
Moved us from MYOB to Xero over a weekend. Bank feeds, invoices, the lot. Monday morning it just worked.
The monthly one-pager is gold. I finally know what I can actually pay myself.
Payday Super had me worried with four casuals. Tally set it up in Xero and I haven't thought about it since.
Fast replies, fixed fee, and Dan found deductions my old accountant never asked about.

Kiri Matthews started Tally in 2017 after ten years doing the books for Gold Coast cafés and trades, and noticing the same thing every time: good businesses, messy books, and nobody explaining anything in plain English.
Today it's a team of four in Varsity Lakes. We live in Xero, reply to texts the same day, and give you one person who knows your business, not a call centre.

Can't see yours? Text Kiri. It's usually a two-minute answer.
Probably less than you think. We catch up the books, lodge what's missing and, if there's a debt, help you set up a payment plan with the ATO. The sooner you start, the more options you have.
A bookkeeper keeps your records right all year: reconciling, invoices, payroll and BAS. An accountant or tax agent does your tax return and bigger-picture advice. At Tally you get both under one roof.
No. We also work in MYOB and QuickBooks. Most clients end up in Xero because it's what we know best, but we'll never force a move that doesn't suit you.
Generally yes once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 a year, and taxi or rideshare drivers need to register from the first dollar. Use the GST calculator above, then ask us if you're close.
It depends on your profit and other income. Try the sole trader calculator above for a weekly figure, and keep it in a separate account so it's there when your bill arrives.
If you have employees, yes. From 1 July 2026, super must be paid each payday rather than quarterly, and it has to reach the fund within 7 business days. We set it up in Xero so it happens with your pay run.
Yes. Dan does individual returns, including rental properties and shares, and it's easier when we already know your business side.
Only if you want to. Most clients never do: we work over the phone, email and video, and you share documents from your phone.
Text or call Kiri, or send the form. We reply the same business day.
