    Is the fixed price really fixed?
    Yes. You get a fixed price for the scope we agree on in writing. It only changes if you change the job, and any change (a "variation") is priced and agreed in writing before the work is done. Queensland rules require variations to be in writing anyway.
    Can we live at home during the renovation?
    Most families stay put. With a second storey you keep living downstairs while we build up. For a kitchen, we'll talk through a plan for the weeks without one before we start.
    How long will my bathroom or kitchen take?
    A bathroom is typically three weeks from strip-out to tiled floor to ceiling. A full kitchen is around four weeks. You'll get your exact timeline in writing with the quote. Try the timeline planner to see when you'd need to start.
    Do I need council approval?
    For a like-for-like kitchen or bathroom, usually not. Extensions and second storeys need building approval, and older homes can need more. We handle plans and approvals on extensions. Our approvals guide gives you the typical answer for your job.
    How much deposit do you take?
    We stick to the Queensland limits: no more than 10% for jobs under $20,000 and no more than 5% for jobs of $20,000 or more. After that, you pay progress payments for work that's been done. Check any quote with our quote checker.
    Who do I call when something comes up?
    Luke. One project manager, one phone number, from the first measure to the final clean. You'll also get a weekly update so you're never chasing us.
    Are you licensed and insured?
    Yes. We're a licensed builder and fully insured, and we'll give you our details with the quote.
    What areas do you cover?
    Brisbane's southside, including Carindale, Holland Park, Camp Hill, Coorparoo, Mount Gravatt and Carina. Just outside those? Ask anyway.
    When can you come and measure?
    We work Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm. Send us a message with your suburb and the job, and we'll book a time that suits.
