Can I buy my own tiles, or do you supply them?
Either works. Supply your own tiles or we'll source them for you. If you're buying your own, send us a photo or the product name first and we'll check it's rated for outdoors and for where it's going.
How much will my job cost?
Our prices start from $85/m² for alfresco tiling, $150 per linear metre for pool coping and $180/m² for a balcony re-tile including waterproofing, all with GST. Use the
price builder for a ballpark, then we do a free on-site measure to confirm.
What slip rating do I need around the pool?
For wet, barefoot areas like pool surrounds, P4 or higher is the typical recommendation in Standards Australia's HB 198 handbook, and P5 for steps and ramps into the water. Try the

Will the tiles get too hot to walk on?
Colour matters most. Light tiles reflect more sun and stay noticeably cooler than dark stone or charcoal porcelain, which can get very hot in direct summer sun. If you love a dark look, keep it to shaded or covered areas.
My balcony leaks. Can you fix it without ripping everything up?
When water gets through a tiled balcony, it's usually the membrane underneath that's failed, so re-grouting on top rarely lasts. The reliable fix is to strip the tiles, correct the falls, waterproof and re-tile. That's our balcony service, from $180/m² including waterproofing.
Is a saltwater pool harder on tiles?
Salt and pool chemicals are tough on the wrong products. Dense porcelain soaks up very little water and handles it well. Softer natural stone like travertine or limestone needs a good penetrating sealer and a re-seal every few years. We'll steer you right at the measure.
Do I need to seal natural stone?
Usually, yes, especially near a pool or barbecue. Sealing helps stop salt, oil and tannin stains soaking in. Our sealing starts from $15/m². Porcelain generally doesn't need sealing.
Can you tile over my old outdoor tiles?
Outdoors we'll usually recommend taking the old tiles up, because loose or drummy tiles underneath will crack the new ones. Old tile removal starts from $25/m². We'll check what's there at the free measure.
Where and when do you work?
Across the southern Gold Coast and Tweed: Palm Beach, Currumbin, Tugun, Burleigh Heads, Coolangatta and Tweed Heads. We work Monday to Saturday, 6am to 3pm, which means early starts before the worst of the heat.
