How often should I wash my car?
It depends on where it lives and how you use it. Tell us, and we'll suggest a routine that protects the paint.

A rough guide only, based on common car-care advice: a wash every two to four weeks for most cars, sooner when paint sits in the sun, under trees or picks up road grime, and a wax or sealant every few months. The ACT has permanent water conservation rules. Check what applies now at Icon Water.

Bird droppings
They're acidic and can mark clear coat, especially in summer sun. Soak and lift them off within a day or two. Don't scrub them dry.
Tree sap and blossom
Canberra's street trees drop sap in spring and summer. Wash it off early. Once it bakes on it needs a proper clean.
Frosty mornings
Never pour hot water on a frozen windscreen. The sudden heat can crack the glass. Use the demister or a de-icer spray.
Bugs after the highway
After a run down the Federal or Barton Highway, rinse the bumper and mirrors within a few days, before the bugs harden.

Do I need to give you water or power?
No. The van carries its own water and power. We just need a parking spot next to your car.
Do I need to be home?
Not for an outside wash, as long as we can get to the car. For inside cleans we'll need the car unlocked or the keys, so we'll sort that out when you book.
Can you wash my car at work?
Yes, lots of our washes happen in office car parks. Just check your building allows it. For workplaces with a few cars, ask about our monthly fleet washing.
How long does it take?
As a rough guide, a Wash and dry takes under an hour, Inside and out a bit longer, and a Full detail takes a good part of the day. Bigger or dirtier cars take longer. We'll give you a time when you book.
Is it OK with Canberra's water rules?
We offer low-water and eco options, and bring our own water. The ACT has permanent water conservation rules, which you can check at Icon Water.
What if it rains on the day?
If rain's forecast, we'll text you to see if you'd like to keep the booking or pick another day.
Can you get dog hair out?
Yes. Tell us when you book so we allow extra time. A lot of hair is best handled with a Full detail.
Do you do utes, 4WDs and vans?
Yes, including tradie utes and work vans. Bigger vehicles may cost a little more, and we'll tell you before we start.
